You will employ your technical skills to deliver detailed and easy-to-follow designs. You are not expected to be client-facing. You can channel all your energy into delivering high-quality and practical designs. Your designs need to be laid out clearly to assist Builders and Tradies. Your tasks and responsibilities

✓ Prepare structural design documentation for different types of projects (i.e. residential, commercial, industrial);
✓ Thoroughly review and analyse design documents prepared by other Engineering Consultancies;
✓ Recommend and offer practical and economical solutions to a technical problem;
✓ Contribute to innovative and technical improvement of projects and designs;
✓ Provide QA check of design projects done by other members;
✓ Ensure compliance with Australia standards, WHS, and QA;
✓ Develop designs and specifications for commercial projects;
✓ Assist with legal Forensic Engineering cases when needed;
✓ Manage the training of new staff when required;
✓ Meeting KPIs and ensure turnaround times;
✓ Certify and sign-off design documentation.

Skills & Experiences

✓ Minimum 10 years of local professional experience in designing and managing various types of projects (e.g. Carports, Garages, Warehouses, Retaining walls, Apartment buildings, single and double story houses, Conventional roof structure, Temporary propping system, extensions, damaged building rectification works, strengthening design of building elements for added applied loads etc.);
✓ Completed Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia;
✓ Experience with Space Gass, Structural Tool Kit, and Auto CAD;
✓ Ability to work without supervision and as a member of a team;
✓ Solid technical knowledge of Australian Standards;
✓ Registered Building Practitioner (RBP) is a must;
✓ Completion of work within deadlines.
